Jazmine Sullivan

JazmineJazmine is a Philadelphia native was born and raised there. Her mother Pam is a former vocalist for the backup band of Philadelphia International Records. In the age of five Her father was appointed to be one of the cities' Historic Strawberry Mansion curator. She and her family moved later into the mansion's historical building. In 2005, a Philadelphia High School for the Creative and Performing Arts student and a major in vocal music. Sullivan played the contralto singer for the youth choir, and in the years later, she performed in the adult choir. Sullivan wasn't exposed to secular music initially. "I began singing in solos in churches, and one of my friends suggested I sign up to record a gospel song when I was eleven. But I wasn't prepared to do that," she says. "Then McDonald's offered a competition for children in major cities. After that, I was given the opportunity to perform What God Wills on Showtime Apollo. My fans were very accommodating." In the year 13 she sang along to Stevie Wonder for his grandson's birthday celebration. Sullivan At the age of 15 was signed for the first time to Jive Records. In Jive Records, she made an entire album, but the album was never released. Sullivan was ultimately removed on the labels. The singer had a great working relationship and Missy Elliott. Elliott produced many of her tracks, including "Backstabbers" the track that was produced by Timbaland.
